Here you will read about prevention against email’s viruses.
1. Use antivirus software.
Most of today’s computer users have access to some sort of anti-virus software. These programs scan files and identify any potential threats. If you do not have anti-virus software installed, download and install it immediately! You should always keep it updated. Make sure to run a full system scan once a week and apply any updates immediately.
2. Avoid opening attachments.
Attachments are often sent via e-mail. While they may seem harmless at first glance, malicious code can easily be hidden inside them. Before clicking on any attachment, make sure to carefully read the contents of the message. Any suspicious messages should be deleted right away.
3. Don’t open links from unknown senders.
You should never click on links contained in messages. Links are commonly used by hackers to trick unsuspecting users into downloading malware onto their computers. Always double check who sent the link before opening it.
4. Scan documents and images using antivirus software.
If you receive an image file attached to an e-mail, use your antivirus software to scan it. Most antivirus programs allow you to scan specific types of files and folders automatically.
5. Be careful when opening attachments.
Malicious attachments can be disguised as something else. When in doubt, don’t open the attachment. Instead, if possible, save it to your hard drive and delete it later.
